About this event

Hello to All Regions!

Join us the second Thursday of every month or the fourth Wednesday of every month for our statewide Drop-In woohoo!🥳

Hello Self-Advocates!

Join us for our Statewide Drop-In woohoo!

These Drop In meetings are a great way to meet other Self-Advocates statewide in a more relaxed way. Our Drop-In meetings bring together all the MASS regions to get informed, to chatting about different stuff, and have lots of fun! We always welcome new members, or even those who are new to learning about self advocacy! You are welcome here!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Our email is: info@wearemass.org or our number is 857-360-0134. Thank you!

We will email you the Zoom link after you have registered.

Frequently asked questions

How do I learn about the meetings?

Go to our events calendar at https://www.WeAreMASS.org/events. Then, click on an event for more information.

Where are the meetings?

Some are online via zoom and some are in-person. Meetings range from 1 hour to 2 hours.

Can a support person come with me?

Yes, though we ask that the supporter to remember that this meeting is for you and other self-advocates. Please respect this.

What do we talk about at the Statewide Drop-Ins?

We talk about a variety of things, & have lots of fun doing it with topics related to self-advocacy. So we might talk about stuff coming up, legislation, and talk about issues that come up for us in everyday life.

Who runs the meetings?

Regional Coordinators, Facilitators, Officers, and Peer Trainers help with running the Statewide Drop-In meetings.

What if I want to be friends with someone at the meeting?

One of the great things about MASS is that people make friends at their meetings. We do want to be respectful of other people, though, as not everyone is interested in friendship. One good way of doing things is offering someone your information, rather than asking them for theirs.

Cool. Does it cost money?

Statewide Drop-In meetings do not usually cost money. Sometimes we have events with food and we might ask for a small donation to cover those costs.

This all sounds really great. How do I get involved?

There are multiple ways you can get involved! You can go to our events calendar to pick the meeting you want to attend. Some meetings ask that you RSVP. Some meetings you can just show up to. You can also reach out to a regional coordinator or facilitator ahead of time to learn more.

I'm ready to get started!

Great! We look forward to seeing you at the meetings.
